A part of the overall "SHINJUKU FACE COUNTDOWN SERIES" series of events prior to the beloved venue's closure on September 30, 2026, it was main evented by New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Yuji Nagata defending the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship against Satoshi Kojima - the first-ever time these two legends have faced one-on-one for a singles title, and their first match at all since 2015.
